Therapy with me

I work face-to-face with individuals, in either a long-term or time limited (6-12 sessions) way in accordance with what we agree in the first session.

During our sessions we’ll try to understand what might be concerning you and what options you have open to you to live a life more to your liking.

I have experience working with a wide variety of concerns and with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.  Common themes that initiate the work or emerge as it progresses include:

  • Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Difficulties with eating
  • Low self-esteem
  • Sexual abuse
  • Sexuality
  • Trauma

My work is grounded in existential phenomenological philosophy.  I’ll try to be with you in our sessions exactly as you are.  I’ve found that this approach helps us to reflect on how you are right now, your limitations and your possibilities.

More information on the existential approach to psychotherapy can be found on the Society for Existential Analysis website.
